I'm new here and we got what we thought were Buff Orpingtons and Black Jersey Giant girls. And then we got Parkre 2.0. She's named for one of our granddaughters hence the 2.0. She is such a sweet chick but we a are not sure what breed . Any ideas?
Thank you,
Su

Welcome to BYC!

She is a beautiful Easter Egger.

What kind of eggs does an Easter Egger lay and where can I find more info on her and thank you so much for the information and sorry for the run-on sentence but my sons says I talk all the time

Easter Eggers are a cross-breed designed off the Ameraucana to lay colored eggs, from green to blue to red and sometimes tans and browns. They come in gorgeous color varieties and have dark skinned legs and a beard like ruffle on the neck. The comb is a pea comb, so smaller then the combs commonly seen on other breeds of chickens (like rose combs and single combs).
They are hardy in a variety of climates, good foragers, and sometimes go broody. They are available at most hatcheries.

I hope this helps.

They can lay blue, green, brown, cream, or pink. They aren't a standard breed but they are based on a combination of Ameraucana, Araucana, and production type breeds mixed in to increase the production rate. They do tend to be better layers overall than purebred Ameraucana or Araucana.

You guys are so great. I checked in everyday for what to do when we were building the coop and it helped so much. I haven't raised chickens in 30 years and I forgot how much fun they are. This is our coop. We built it from odd pieces around the farm. (Old play house, leftover wire and old gazebo)

Your hen is just gorgeous and I love her name. What a nice coop, the big window is my favorite - I'm nosy and love to look out, so do chickens.
