Doesn't really look like a Maran chick. But I could be wrong.

Actually, between the two, it looks more like a Maran, besides the feet

With the feathered feet and lower body, I’d say more likely a blue Cochin although I could be wrong. I don’t know if I’d call any of those breeds rare though.
