And then there's the Ameraucana, who has beard/muffs and a tail like yours but only has blue legs, lays blue eggs, and comes in recognized colors such as Black for example -




Other recognized colors include Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, Blue, White, Buff, Silver, and Brown-Red.(despite the name, Brown-Reds are actually black with a reddish neck)

As said previously, she's an Easter Egger.


Easter Egger is the name for a blue or green layer who does not fit being either of the two above. Could be crosses, mutts, or in most cases the hatchery stock type which are basically the colored laying mutts we got from S. America decades ago, and used to make Araucanas and Ameraucanas. However, hatchery Easter Eggers were not changed nor bred to a standard, so, that's why they vary so much and aren't considered either of the two purebred breeds.
