This roo was sold as a "black frizzle cochin" but I have seen regular cochin roos that look a lot different. How would someone know the breed of a frizzle?

He's dubbed, just abit roughly though, or he was done at a younger age, & some of the points tried to regenerate.View attachment 3377540
Here is a picture with more light on his face. Does it look like he was previously injured or that he had the plastic surgery (dubbing) in this one? If so, I would love to know how to spot things like that moving forward.
