Hello Everyone,
This chick came out of a light brown egg. It is about 6 weeks old now. I think this chick is a brown marran. However, I thought marran has feathered legs. I think it might be a rooster, not sure. This is my first time having chickens so I don’t know much. Any insights? Thank you

I am fairly sure it is a hen. When it comes to breeds, however, I am not very experienced. How old is it?
Edit: Oh, it is only six weeks. In that case, cockerel.

As for gender, cockerel. As for breed, if the chicken came out of a light brown egg then it would most likely not be a marans. Marans lay very dark eggs. Not light brown eggs, or at least not a marans of decent quality. Might be a black sex-link but I am not certain.

Based on what I just read online, it is a black star than when just hatched should of had a white spot on the head. This chick when hatched had a brown head (as shown on the pic) I think it is a Roo too but don’t have that much colors, well maybe because it is just a chick

At 6 weeks that is a male. The white and red bird in the next to last picture.....yeah that is also a male if it is the same age.
I think that one is a male too, I believe it is a bantam because it is pretty small in size.
