Hi! This is a picture of my chicken. When buying her we got told she was a 'grey hen' (I know really helpful :S ).

Anyway do you know the breed. I think she may be a bluebell

She's way too heavy to be an Andalusian, and no white lobes.

I'm guessing she's a hybrid that's limited to the UK. It will be interesting to see what other folks on your side think.

I would guess its a mix between buff orpington which looks like are behind it, and potentially Wyandotte. I have a mix of these 2 types and a few of them are fully grey. The pattern on their feathers also looks somewhat similar to Wyandotte.

I have a few chickens in my flock that look just like the photo above. Bought them as chicks from Tractor Supply several years ago. The clerk told us they are called Buffington chickens. They are calm/docile and lay brown eggs.

I'm not sure the clerk at Tractor Supply knew what breed the dark grey chickens were. I've not been able to find them online to buy some more.

This was posted originally in 2014, which was eight years ago. I wonder if this hen is even around anymore, sad tho that thought may be.

She looks like a blue Australorp to me.
There is a breed called "Blue Hen of Delaware" but locally (in Oregon) I've seen them labeled Delaware blue, gray or gray hen. Probably to the chagrin of actual Delaware natives.
The Blue Hen of Delaware is a strain of gamecock though, and the bird in the OPs post is very fluffy. That is why I think it's probably an Australorp.

Maybe Blue Australorp?

I was typing Australorp at the same time you were. I feel validated! Lol
