What breed is this 'Grey Hen'

I have a few chickens in my flock that look just like the photo above. Bought them as chicks from Tractor Supply several years ago. The clerk told us they are called Buffington chickens. They are calm/docile and lay brown eggs.

I'm not sure the clerk at Tractor Supply knew what breed the dark grey chickens were. I've not been able to find them online to buy some more.

A Buffington sounds like the combining of 'Buff Orpington' but that would not make sense as a buff Orpington is golden buff color, not dark grey. Pretty common with tractor supply to make mistakes though. If you want a fluffy blue chicken, look for blue australorps or blue orpingtons. Steele eggers are blue and lay blue eggs.
