What Breed is this guy?

Hi there.

I rescued this lovely guy after he was abandoned/dumped and I can't keep him here since I'm not allowed cockerels and I've already got one here without permission (no one has complained, fingers crossed). I was just wanting to rehome him but want to check what breed he is so I can put that information in the advert.

He is banded. Did you place it on him? If not, maybe check around if he went missing from somewhere.

Wow he's cool looking. Ive never seen a black chicken with that kind of feathering. I also agree a silkie mix though.

I did, he was a covid lockdown hatch (I'm in the UK) and the old owner lost interest and just threw her chickens over a fence and never went back to her allotment according to a few people I asked.
