what breed is this hen my friend found wandering through his yard?

It almost looks like a speckled sussex. Hard to tell though the pic is a little dark. Cute though

Definitely spangled then, she has a little bit of red on head and neck, body is black and white. She is about the size of a pigeon, probaby no more than 3 months old. Are eggs laid by a 2 pound bantam even worth it? I'd think it'd be like eating an egg the size of a gumball. I have no other bantams, but am hoping her hereditary feistiness will make up for that. If my big ameraucana hen pushes her around, though, we may have problems. There are only 2 in my flock, the one on the bottom of the pecking order is pretty docile. I'm worried. Gonna let the newbie rest all day tomorrow and then the next day spend some supervised time with them all within sight of each other.

I always prefer banty eggs because they have a larger yolk.

Lol. We have banties and standards together and they do okay. Just make sure you don't let them have direct contact for at least a month. She could have brought home an illness, so quarantine is necessary.

Here are more pics. Went and looked at some pics of OE Game Bantams...there's a head pic in one of my books that is the spitting image. These pics make her look bigger than she actually is.

Very interesting, Polish Princess, about Bantam Eggs. I can't wait til she comes into lay so I can see what I got!

oh, she is soooo cute!!! I have 2 breeding pairs but no spangled hens just roo's. She will lay eggs every couple of days. They are a small egg, yes you can eat them! i am on my way to steal her! Lock her up!

I love OEGB's have spangled and lemon blues!

the hens are super sweet and i seem to play with them more~

she is way older than 3 months old!!! She could lay for you soon or even as i type!! I have 5 month olds and their combs are not that big. My laying ones are~
