Welcome to BYC - We'll need more/different photos to ID your bird - a nice side shot that shows the whole bird in a natural, standing position would be helpful. Also, if you know, the approximate age of the bird is information that it helps to include.

Ok.I'm new to chickens so explain what you said please in more detail. Tks

Those who said cockerel are indicating that your bird appears to be a male (young roosters are cockerels). Pullet is the term for a young hen. Production Red is one of the breed guesses - these are often sold as "Rhode Island Reds" by hatcheries/farm stores, but are not true RIR. Gold Sex Link is another guess - this is another term under which red sex links are sold - red sex links are a cross/mix-breed of bird that are desirable due to males being one color and females another at hatch, making 100% sexing possible (vs the 85-95 accurate sexing using vent examination of breeds that are not sex linked/autosexing).

Thank you for the answer. I was hoping it was a rooster. Like I said, I have never messed with chickens before (other than eating them) but am interested in them. These were bought at Tractor Supply last month and we pulled 4 out of the sexed pen and 2 out of the other pen. I have cats, one chick escaped the day we put them in the pen and one of the cats got it. Now the cats lay on top of the pen and just sleep. I am wanting to let them be free range once they get big enough and can fend for themselves pretty much. Would like for them to come back to their pen at night to roost. Any suggestions on a newbe for raising them? Thanks.
