Could you post a picture of it overhead?

I looked at Rare and Unusual Breeds and then on other sites to see pictures of what the chicks looked like. The only chick that really looked like yours was the Egyptian Fayoumi. Did you order a chick from Rare and Unusual breeds or from a different category?

Most of my barnevelder chicks have brown coloured legs too, but more greyish brown than red brown. Also, they have very striking colours on faces.

And no, I didnt pick this chick myself... Murray McMurray sent a free "rare" (notice the quotations, lol) chick. So, Im baffled on the breed but I'd guess EE !

I know this gets said a lot for chicks that needed ID'ing, but that is an Easter Egger. It's very obvious with those puffy cheeks. A lot of hatcheries put in them as a rare/unusual because of their egg color. Most of the time those free chicks end up being roosters.

I have just started reading about game birds. I don't know what you ordered and I don't know if MM has games, but here is a link to some at Cackle that sure look a lot like your little rare chick. Look at the Ginger Red and Brown Breasted ones...
