What breed is this rooster? Are these spots on its feet normal?

I recently just got a new rooster to replace the one that the fox took I'm unsure of his breed and he has these odd little black spot coloring all over his legs? Is this normal for this breed?

He is a mixed breed, my guess would be a barred rock EE cross. The dots on the legs is just coloring and nothing to worry about.
Thank you!
I've had someone say that he looked similar to a Dominique,RIR mix but im not familiar with the dominique breed do you know anything about them?

I have not owned any. Dominique have a rose comb, yours appears to have pea comb, so one breed involved would have to have a pea comb I believe, so that's why I thought EE. A single comb crossed with a rose comb would give you a rose comb.

I noticed this is an old feed but I too have a newly adopted rooster Hansel that also has mysterious black spots on his legs. Over the last month or so I have looked for answers and am satisfied after reading this feed that it is just a pigment that is genetic. Another blog from different group mentioned mites or bruises but felt that wasn't what my Hansel had since they are not raised and have stayed the same. Thinking mine is a plymouth rock or should I say barred rock?
