Thanks. It was my neighbors bird, but it has been living in a pine tree in my front yard for past 3 months.
She was hopping the fence to my chicken run during the day and she just hatched 14 chicks.

Did you have the rooster or did the neighbors? In other words....who will be responsible for chick support?

I have 4 roosters, all barnyard mixes. Can't wait to see what the chicks develop into. My neighbor wants some of the chicks

I don't have much more info. This hen used to belong to a neighbor but she's decided to live in a pine tree in my front yard. She hatched 14 chicks recently but I can't find the egg shells so i dont know what her eggs look like. She pretty wild and can fly really well. She's pretty small.

It could be just a mix breed of what you guys have

Interesting, cool looking bird! Can't say I've ever seen anything full bred like her.

Crest looks like a legbar's crest, feathering looks cochin-ish, but the tail and stance is all wrong for cochin. Leg feathers say maybe some silkie or cochin, or possibly some Marans mixed in?

I'll be curious to see what some experts think
