With our GLWs and SLWs, (not show-quality, of course) I've often seen that first feathering come in kind of wonky. Especially for roos, but for some of our ladies, too. I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if the next molt brings out more classic GLW feathering.

She is a black sex link. I bred many just like her. Not sure of roo breed, but her momma was a barred hen.

He is very likely a pure Gold Laced Wyandotte. He just has very poor lacing for some reason. Its possible he is crossed but I don't think so. I don't see any obvious traits from another breed.

The lacing on the body is just one "off" chatacteristic.....the hackle feathering is another. .... to have solid black hackles is pretty off for a lacedd wyandotte, even of poor quality

Agreed.
No way even the poorest quality gold laced would have that birds pattern.

No idea, just find that the pattern almost looks like an invert of the norm interesting.
