From one of your own chickens eggs? Do you have a Faverolle in the flock?

Nope. We got the egg from someone else and it was hatched by a little silkie. But the folks that gave us the egg don't know what he is either.

That is exactly where I was going with the question about the feathering. I don't think he is an EE. But remember, one of my boys has 5 toes and one does not. The beard and muffs and leg feathers are on all three of Fabio's kids.

I'll have to check on the toes and feathers. Of all our birds he seems the most skiddish around people. Hard to get close.

Oh yes! We plan to keep him! We've been pretty lucky with roosters, so hopefully he'll be just like you said... a nice boy!
