What breed is this

I got these chicks on March 20th. They told me they were Southern Ramblers which doesn't seem to exist. They have 5 toes and dark legs, they are starting to get some light feathering on their legs. I was told they came from the same hatch. The top one(Robin) was jet black and is starting to get lighter. Also has a black comb coming in. The bottom one(Himilaya) hasn't changed much in color. I have looked up 5 toe breeds but none of them seem to look like these. Any ideas? Also can anyone tell if these are Roos?View attachment 2073859View attachment 2073860View attachment 2073861View attachment 2073864
Silkies have black skin. The chicken breeds that have 5 toes are: dorking, faverolle, Houden, sultan, and Non-bearded silkie bantams. What you have might be a mix of any of those but with black skin at least 1 parent is likely a silkie. Your look pretty tall in stature to be bantams. Hard to tell gender until at least 6-8wks....typically roos will begin trying to crow or have more developed comb/wattles than pullets by then. It’s really hard with mixed breed tho, because some breeds naturally have small wattles. With Polish chickens or Sultans/Houdens I think only roos develop combs and get less full head crests....pullets get really full puffy crests, no combs, at least that’s what I experienced with my Polish chickens. Have fun with your chicks! They grow fast! :)

Mine definitely has 5 toes, but no feathered feet. I thought they could be crossed with an Ayam Cemani, but I’m not sure. Apparently both breeds have black skin.

It's silkie and something else, possibly Rustic Rambler, which would explain the name. I called the hatchery they came from, after tracking them down. They're from Fifth Day Farm, which is one of the hatcheries under the Freedom Ranger hatchery umbrella. The person I talked to was just a sales associate so they didn't know too much, but did confirm that they're a silkie hybrid.

Thanks! I’d be interest to know the other breed. If it was a Rustic Rambler, that would explain the name. Mine are 6 weeks old this weekend and both look identical except in size. One is larger than my Bovan Browns (which I think are considered bantams), but the other is slightly smaller. I’ve wondered if the larger one is a roo for awhile, but only because there’s such a size difference. I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

I’ve got three of these so called Southern Ramblers, but we call them the Mystery gals. (Tho I’m thinking we have one mystery guy...hard to know since we don’t know what they actually are). They’re bigger and heavier than my same age Barred Rock pullets...and their legs are comparatively huge. I’m loving their coloring and the mullet one of my gals has!

I bought some from Tractor Supply as well but I thought they sold them as pullets. Do you remember how they were sold where you bought them? As of now, I have two definite cockerels, one other possible cockerel and 5 possible pullets. I’m still waiting to see what happens as they are only about 9-10 weeks old.

Here are my two southern ramblers are 16 weeks. They’re huge, heavy and scared of everything but also bullies.

Wow, gorgeous! Were they solid black to start with? I have two pullets and one roo, about 12 weeks. All are black with some green and purple tinting. One of the gals is quite the bully— She really gets after my slower growing cuckoo marans. Can’t ever get a better pic of the roo bc he’s shy, but they’re getting a little less jumpy as the weeks go by.
