thats exactly my thinkingIt's a Brahma. The comb said it all. Legs lacking correct feathering you can chalk up as hatchery quality.
Plymouth Rock have a single comb. It's recessive so requires both sides of gene to be single comb. You just can't get around that. The other bird with silver penciled pattern and single comb is Cochin. Wyandotte have rose comb and Brahma pea. All come in silver penciled variety, brahma call it dark.

Thank you! I am leaning toward brahma as well.I"m a bit late, but I agree that comb says brahma, and coloring is a bit off to be a SPR. Dark brahma![]()
