I bought 35 Cornish cross meat birds back in February and there was 1 smaller pullet that was so small and so loving that I kept her. She was the same color as all the Cornish cross birds but just didn’t grow like the others. I was pretty sure she was not a meat bird. I raised her with my layer chicks because I fell in love with her and she has been laying brown eggs for me for about 3 weeks now. She has laid an egg everyday but one since she started laying. She is white earlobes and lays brown sometimes dark brown eggs. Can anyone help me figure out what she is.

She looks like she is going to lay soon, if not yet. White rocks lay brown. They are dual purpose, though, its weird how she ended up with cornish Xs
She has been laying for about 3 weeks now. She was 15 weeks and 2 days when she laid her first egg. It was small. She has given me several large eggs and they were double yolkers but most are average sized I’d say. Not tiny not large! I bought the meat birds from rural king so it’s hard telling how she got in with those.

No she’s all white although her head and neck seem to be turn an off white now as she’s getting older.
Hmm I'm honestly not sure then. The reason I mentioned Amberlink to begin with is that typically hatchery White Rocks are very large with course features. Her build looks closer to an Amberlink in my opinion but every bird is different so I can't guarantee it by any means :)

She has the best little personality. Although I’d love to know what breed she is or cross she is, I’m happy with her and she has her forever home here. She’s been a great little layer so far and I’m just in aw with her.
