Embden or Buff. How absolutely adorable

Too cute! I would lean more towards buff, my embdens were darker as goslings.

This will be confusing, but I think embden. The buffs I've had were bright yellow with darker patches on their backs, and their backs also had a tint of buff color. The embden I have was pure bright yellow as a little baby.

ETA: What color is its eyes? Embdens have blue eyes.

Thank you all... so it sounds like it's probably and Embden.
He is like Highlighter Yellow right now...it's so funny. This is our first goose and we are treating it like part of the family. We have chickens and ducks but like I said, this is a first. It really loves being with us and follows my son everywhere.
Does anyone have any tips on raising these guys to be good and not unruly? What is this breed like in your all's experience? Pros? Cons?

Every mean goose I've been around has been embden.

I would think if you socialize it a lot, it should be okay. Just remember that they do get ornery during breeding season.

This is my first time with geese, so I can't say. I would think they would be more so if they do have a mate, but if it is a female, she will still try to protect her 'nest', regardless if she has anything in it or not.
