what breed is this?

I'm not quite sure whatbreed this one is, could a someone shed some light on him/her?
it is about 8/9 weeks old!

Couldn't tell you the breed. But I think it's a he.

Edited to add: I have some similarly colored....but they're all crosses.

True, as his primaries are showing gold. Otherwise everything else just says a poor quality Sussex (telling by the excess black)

Thanks guys. So I'll go with a mix, possible Light sussex X.
I was thinking it was a he, I hope not

I can't have Roosters so I'll have to take him back, do you think it is a definite Roo, or should I wait for a cock-a-doodle-do?

The lady I got them off said I can swap any roos!

I'd say if you like everything else about that chicken, just wait to make sure is a roo. Not always easy to tell at this stage, really. Good luck with your flock, and just keep checking things out on here....lots and lots of info to help you along.

I had one that looked simalewr to him/her yes it is a mix but my 2 cents worth it is a mix of a Light Brama (sp?) my hens and roo look alike till one day one of them crowed Keep him till you are sure and let us know as he/she ages what it looks like would love to see what it turns into..
