What Breed is This?




Where did you get her from?

She is very likely a mix. Her comb reminds me of a sumatra (as does her colour) but her type reminds me more of a Australorp... I'd be willing to bet she is mixed though.

we bought some fertilized rhode island red eggs on ebay and they included a mystery egg. She could be anything and I dont remember which buyer we got her from because it was three years ago. I no longer have this hen because of mean neighbors :(

Why are you asking now then, if you no longer have her?
 
Because We moved and I wanted to get some chickens like her if she was a specific breed. I thought maybe she was a
black Sumatra but she didn't have a long tail like they do..

99.9% chance she wasn't a Hungarian Yellow.

Black Australorps would look very similar, and are much more common.


You know it could be a black sumatra cross.
