What Breed is this?

I bought these two white girls (I hope!) from a local feed shop and was told they were Red Sex Links. Obviously I'm starting to doubt this as they are not red and one has puffs on her cheeks. Any ideas??

Both looks like Easter Eggers to me. Very cute and pretty!

Hello again. Here are a few pics of my black one. Some people are telling me Iowa blue and some Black Australorp. Going on 8 weeks old, starting to get kind of a green metallic look on the tip of the feathers. Any clue as to what he/she may be.

I would say australorp. Not an Iowa Blue. the Iowa Blues I know look like this (nothing alike)

there are 4 types of Iowa blue.....
•Silver chicks are typically brown with broken mottled striping down their backs.
•Charcoal chicks are solid chestnut/mulberry in coloration without the mottled/striped pattern over their backs.
•Smoky chicks hatch yellow with striping of the head and backs.
•Birchen chicks are black with varying amounts of yellow points.

A few people have said it resembles the Birchen breed and yes it does have those characteristics of it, but also of the Australorp. I guess though, hopefully he/she will be a she and deliver many eggs.

Where did you get her? Iowa Blues are pretty uncommon, so unless she came from somewhere where that breed is likely, I'd say Aussie.

a buddy of mine gave me 7 to start out with, which where all supposed to be Plymouth barred rock. As they got older of course this one didn't look the same. Anyway yes he has some Iowa blue but also some Australorp. Which he doesn't know how that egg would have gotten in the clutch that he hatched for me. Anyway, she is the most docile of the 5 I have left.
