I've been using the chicken color calculator ( http://kippenjungle.nl/kruisEmbedArray.html ) to see what would happen if I bred various colors of roosters to my Golden-laced Wyandotte hens. With a white-patterned gold quill rooster, I would get some very pretty chickens -- but what breed comes in that color? Resulting hens would be (probably) white patterned gold incomplete doublelaced/halfspangled; roosters would be white patterned gold incomplete halfspangled.
Also, what breed comes in white blacktail? I'd get sex-linked chicks from that cross (black patterned silver incomplete laced pullets; black patterned yellow/golden incomplete laced cockerels).
Hmm. It looks like crossing Silver-laced Wyandottes on the Golden-laced ones would also give sex-linked chicks!
(I'm having fun, can you tell?!?)
