What breed of bunnies are these?

Possibly an American?
Does it have a semi arch body? If not, what kind does it have?
If you don't know what a semi arch body looks like, "google" it. Seeing an actually picture would be better than me trying to explain it.

Oh, gee, a blue with a normal coat and upright ears could be any of a number of breeds or mixes. The fur looks pretty shiny compared to those Lionheads - it might even be a Satin (but it clearly isn't a Rex!).

I think he's an american. The pictures I've seen looks very similar to him. Thanks for all the help and pointing me in the right direction. I'm a nube when it comes to rabbit breeds.

My only problem with this being an honest-to-goodness American Blue is that the American is a rare breed. It is getting very close to extinction; and is listed as "critical" by the American Livestock Breed Conservancy. While it is possible that there is a person in your area that breeds the American breed, and it is possible that they dump their non-breeder-quality culls at the local livestock auction, it is pretty unlikely. I still think that it is much more likely that it is some other breed or mix of breeds. If the picture on the ARBA website were of a white American rather than a blue (Americans come in blue or white), would you still think it was that breed?

He's probably from the Amish. If they are that rare I'd say he's more likely a mix then. Although I bought a really nice looking Nubian goat buckling who is clearly from a breeder. Every now and then you find a gem.
