What breed of chicken lay dark speckled eggs at 3.5 to 4 months old?

I dont believe I have any Welsummers in the flock, I have polish bantams, bantam cochins, dominiques, dark brahmas, a very very small maran that looks to be a cockerel, buff silkie, orloff, Silver laced Wyandotte, 2 random hens that are a brown like a rhode island reds coloring but have black markings that are not laced, and I have three blue/lavender chickens that I cant tell if they are cockerels or pullets, they are super small but already have the red comb and wattles, not crowing, looks bantam sized and have rose combs and none of the chickens are squatting for me. Also none of the cockerels are crowing yet. Which makes me wonder if some of them could possibly be hens that matured quicker hense the lack of saddle feathers and crowing.

I believe it's your Maran.

Agreed it's the Marans. Shape and color less the speckles look the same as hers. The speckles are just a glitch in the coloring step. It happens. 15-18 weeks is very early for most breeds except sexlink high production breeds. You have dual purpose breeds that will start laying closer to 26 weeks.

Thank you everyone I will check the Wyandotte and also the Maran and also the finger width test. Still no egg in the young chicken coop/run again. My husband and I are really scratching our heads on this one!

It could have just been a one off fluke.
