What breed of duck is this?

This was sold to my grand parents as an apple yard duck and is currently sitting on eggs, male duck with her was a call duck all eggs are fertile!

She looks too dark to be an apple yard to me. Looks more like a mallard or could be a cross.

Was thinking that myself she’s most definitely not a pb appleyard only markings that resemble one are behind hers eyes rest of her looks like a mallard, fantastic broody though covers eggs every time she leaves the nest and won’t let a sinner near her when she’s on them
