I took in 3 ducklings from a rescue that were of similar age to some of mine. One was a khaki Campbell, one a fawn and white Indian runner, and then this one. I was hoping it was a welsh harlequin or silver apple yard based on the bill when I saw a front only picture (picked them up when they were about 8 weeks old). But it’s solid white with a dark bill and I can’t find much of anything on google besides maybe a silver Swedish? I have a black and a blue Swedish I raised with it but they’re not from the same place. Since I don’t know where they came from, can’t say it was TSC but that would be the most likely assumption. They were Easter baby surrenders sadly. They’re now 12-14 weeks old.

Thanks for any help!

I believe you are correct with Silver Swedish. I received the duck in my avatar as an adult and searched to find out what she was. I finally settled on crested Silver Swedish. As others on here pointed out to me, only Silvers are white with a black bill. She proved me correct when I hatched her ducklings. When crossed to a 1/2 Khaki 1/2 Appleyard drake, all her babies looked like blue or lavender Swedish. She’s beautiful!

Thank you! I would die to have an apple yard or harlequin but I can’t find local breeders with them. I adore the Swedish. I like that I know have one of each coloration lol.

I like all your variety. Do you know which are girls or boys yet?
Nope. No drake feathers yet. I can tell most seem like hens based on their sounds but one must be a boy cause one is more raspy and not as fast and “talkative” like a hen. But I have an older drake fawn and white runner and a Rouen hen. The little fawn and white has been hanging out with my goose (that idk if male or female) and the drake. That one I had an inkling was a drake too. I saw one of the runners chasing my blue Swedish which I figured was a hen. The black Swedish has some more colored feathers coming in that I noticed today so that’s a questionable one. The 3 Swedish stick together though. The Campbell unfortunately got taken by something :( I had 2 newer hens, a turkey, and that duckling disappear in one week. Then two older established hens disappeared a few weeks later. I havent had predators take birds in a long long time.

I always wanted a silver apple yard after a client brought hers to our clinic for treatment. She was phenomenal and loved the coloring. I would’ve settled for a harlequin since they’re very similar. Lol

Pictures of the black Swedish from today.
