What breed of ducklings? *PICS INCLUDED*

Last month I was given 4 ducklings for 5$ by an old lady who had a fairly extencive but mixed poultry population. one month later, this is what they look like so they are 6 weeks old in these pictures. We have two muscovies that are very placid and tame. These ones are different in that they drank and ate more individually than the scovies and you can not go near them with out them taking off-every night its a struggle to put them in their home. If you could please help identify what breed they are that would be excelent and I don't think you can tell the gender by looking at a photo can you?

Beautiful ducks, I think there maybe some blue swedish in the mix.

If they are not laying, you might consider a grower / maintenance feed, to avoid long term internal organ problems. Some ducks get kidney disorders (am I remembering the correct organ?) from too much calcium (drakes, non-laying ducks).

oh my gosh-I have a lot to learn. I thought top layer mash was just the reminants left from when they crushed up chook seed. are they big enough to have chook seed yet?

And I am having technical difficulties seeing the video. It's tricky to wrap ducks, so just be patient with yourself and the duck. As far as I know it is not life threatening, but most seek to correct the problem as early as it is discovered.

Looked at each duckling individually and 2 have angel wing, and both have it on both wings. could it be genetic? I'll go tomorrow and get some self edhesive medical wrap.

Angel wing is when the wing sticks out from the body like a hitch hikers thumb. If the wing does not stick out like a hitch bickers thumb it is to angel wing. You have one for sure with it.

It is NORMAL for wings to hang down following the line of the body when the new wing feathers grow in and are full of blood. When the blood recedes the wings will tuck back up.

Did the same and used the same wrap as seen in the vidio above. I've wrapped both that had it and i think i did it properly. We have two that quack a clear quack and its the other two who are still peeping that have angel wings. Could the two that are wrapped up be males? or do males quck aswell.except the ones that quck are so much bigger! both ways ;) ive uploaded a pic on one of the ducks the other one is wrapped but i forgot to take picture. If they were to breed, would the babies get this angel wing?
