What breed of ducklings? *PICS INCLUDED*

Looking like the peepers may be drakes. Nice looking! The wrap looks good . . . hope he cooperates with it, and gets fixed up.

My guess is that their offspring may be susceptible to angel wing, and diet plays a role in whether it is expressed. My theory, anyway.

:'( It went teribly wrong, and I am worried they might loose their wings. I thought the wraps were on loose enough but when it was wrapped around the wing tip it contracted and now their is massive purple lumps at the ends of the wings and the skin is yellow, hot and imflamed. I bathed them in luke warm water for 20 mins, and by tomorrow morning if it is not showing signs of improvment, will take to vet. feel so bad, I hope they will be ok

As you are already doing, keep the wraps off, give them lukewarm baths and hope the circulation returns to normal.

Sadly, sometimes we learn from mistakes that hurt the ducks. I pray they will recover.

Worst day ever. No improvement so I decided to take them to an avian specialist at currumbin. Left at 11 am. Half way their the car ran out of fuel and we were stuck, with no reception. walked a km down the road, found a school and they let us call RACQ. 2 hours later he came and filled up our car than we left to go and try to reach the vet because the blood was going septic and will most likely kill them. got their, waited one hour and 10 mins and still he was sitting with his client chin wagging (really off topic talking aswell). Just got in the car and left. We went to the nearest pet store and got some avicure tetracylian. Finally got home 10 mins ago. 4 hours and 20 mins later.

Oh, this has turned so sour. Good that you got the tetracycline. I pray it will do the job quickly.

Thankyou All your prayers have done a miracle for these two ducklings. Turned out the vet is actually crazy, but is the best avian vet. But the miracle is that the ducklings are doing amazing since what they have been through. One wing on each duck looks so good, the other is wings are better than the day before but will still need some work. They are in a cage at the moment, as all the other duckies and chookens would get to their medicted water. We are also spraying this anti funual and bactrial spray on that our neighbous gave us that is natural (their naturalists im not ) but will see if will do the finishing touches.

phew! that was one life lesson never to forget They have allmost made a full recovery, and will definately survive. They allmost have full wing movement again. We changed the diet and amazingly the angel wing has comepletely gone on the blue one and on the grey/cream one i am pretty sure it has gone. What a journey! Thanks for all your amazing prayers

His right wing i beleive the angel wing has gone, but on the left im not sure because does angel wing stick out to the side horizently?
