My royal purples are as loud as the other colors and pieds that I have also. My younger Guineas (less than a couple yrs old) tend to sound off their alarm call more frequently at the slightest silliest things... but the mature, older, seasoned Guineas that are used to all the daily sights and sounds all around my land are a little more particular about what sets them off.
IMO, the darker colored Guineas like pearl grey, royal purple and even the browns and chocolates are less prone to predator attacks because they are less visible than all the lighter colored Guineas.
