What breed of guinea should i get?

My royal purples are as loud as the other colors and pieds that I have also. My younger Guineas (less than a couple yrs old) tend to sound off their alarm call more frequently at the slightest silliest things... but the mature, older, seasoned Guineas that are used to all the daily sights and sounds all around my land are a little more particular about what sets them off.

IMO, the darker colored Guineas like pearl grey, royal purple and even the browns and chocolates are less prone to predator attacks because they are less visible than all the lighter colored Guineas.

I think you should get regular guineas, All 21 of mine are and when i clipped there wings 5 or 6 of my hens weighted almost 11lbs. And regulars are great at fertlizing eggs, i've had 100% fertility. Never ate mine but im sure there tasty. I've noticed that my males are skinner than my females. And my guineas do fine with my chickens, they sleep in the same coop and have the same run. And with everyone in the coop thats a total of 24 chickens, 21 guineas and 4 ducks. But i let them all out in the morning and lock them up at night. Jumbos and French aren't good if your wanting fertile eggs, i have had these and almost none of there eggs were fertile. Anyway i hope this helps
