I'm going to echo the GSD/lab theory. I had one that was nearly identical. One of the best dogs I every had.

after more than 30 years of dog rescue work i definitely agree that's a german shepherd dog X border collie.......which is generally a VERY nice cross

he is a very nice dog he's never bite anyone in less me and r playin around he is a very gentle dog
