Old English Game Bantam. What is OEGB?
Ohhhhh hummm I was hoping you would say olive egger something something. Lol.Old English Game Bantam.
The only big hatchery I'm aware of that breeds buff Sebrights is Ideal, and they also have Minorcas. They're standard sized but I believe they are a light breed in general.Or it could be a White Faced Black Spanish bantam. Last time I looked, one of the big hatcheries was offering them. I haven't seen Black Minorca bantams listed anywhere recently, but that may say more about me than about what kinds of chickens are available![]()
No those are smaller size than my 8 week olds. The only big hatchery I'm aware of that breeds buff Sebrights is Ideal, and they also have Minorcas. They're standard sized but I believe they are a light breed in general.Time will tell.
Yes, bantams lay eggs. They just don't lay super prolifically and are prone to going broody frequently, making them great mothers. Most bantams lay light tan- white eggs.Do bantam lay eggs? Will cupcake lay? If so what color eggs?
1. Buff-Laced SebrightI bought those when I didn't know what a bantam was.
Please what breed are they
As stated above, you have no worries with Cochins. They do not have any health issues and do not need butchering. They are mainly used for ornamental pets.Popcorn is my big fluffy ball lol. He was in a bin with other white chickens. The lady told me that him and cupcake are meatbird. But we both think cochin right. Should I worry at all?
Yes . . . she is a chicken, chickens can be as tiny as six inches tall . . . and she looks like a mix of some Old English Game Bantams or something like that. How abt this one? Is she a chicken? No joking, but she's so tiny. Her name is Bitsy.
Privett hatchery's website is messed up right now, but I was able to get to a .pdf of their price sheet. They list both Buff Sebrights and White Faced Black Spanish bantams, so that is one hatchery that offers both. The only big hatchery I'm aware of that breeds buff Sebrights is Ideal, and they also have Minorcas. They're standard sized but I believe they are a light breed in general.Time will tell.
Yes, all chickens lay eggs, as long as they are female. Bantams do not just appear out of nowhere, all chickens are hatched from eggs. Since bantam is a size class and not a breed, the egg color of bantams is extremely varied. Is Cupcake one of the Cochins? If so, Cupcake will lay brown eggs if she has the correct gene.Do bantam lay eggs? Will cupcake lay? If so what color eggs?
