what breed please?

I hatched this goose out of a "surprise" egg 3 months ago, can someone tell me what breed he/she is please? Is it too early to tell gender yet? Thanks!

Do you get Pilgrim geese over there? Looks like he might be. Or is this from your sebbie eggs. Could be a smooth Seb if it is.

He looks just like my pilgrim gander. So I would say pilgrim.

This guy looks like a Pilgrim. My pilgrim gander looks like that and he is 3 months old also.

I would say either a Pilgrim gander or a young Embden goose. Only time will tell

If it feathers out completely white (after molting into it's adult feathers) then I would say Embden. Obviously, if it lays eggs it's not a Pilgrim gander!

Hi

I think it's a female 'Embden' and those residual grey feather should moult out. Usually these Embdens are more the type used as 'table' geese and fail to acquire the large size of the true exhibition Embdens.

Of course the other members could be right and it may well be a male Pilgrim but the best way to identify is to sex the youngster though it does have a slightly 'feminine' head.
