What breed rooster should I get?

We have 13 hens who need a rooster. My hens are speckled sussex, barred rock, lt. brahma, and americana. The local feed store has a Rhode Island Rooster available. Would this be a good rooster for the hens?

I would use it if it were the right price.

Rhode Island Reds are good roos. They can be kind of protective of his girls once established. Although not all become aggressive. Some are gentlemen. They are a brown egg layer breed too.

a RIR would be a good choice, but in my experience sussex roosters can be good natured and lovely roosters.
