What breed(s) is he?

This is the rooster I’m keeping out of the 5 we have! We’re getting rid of the other four and keeping this boy.

He is mixed, family friends hatched them (17) and gave them all to us!

They have 2 Roos one Cochin and one Americana

They have a LOT of hens lots of different breeds! He is a little over 5 months old!

You can’t tell in the picture but some of his black feathers look blue and some look purple in the sun

Don’t mind the dog bowl in the back we have a bigger waterer just haven’t taken the older one out, (they are newer chickens and we had to get another waterer so just until we got it we used that)

The new one is in but the old one is too, just empty!

He looks like his father was the ameraucana. He looks a bit gamey so maybe his mom was some type of game breed?

I’m not sure if they have game breeds.. I know they have brahmas and barred rocks, speckled Sussex, ahh I can’t remember any more! I know they have Dominique’s but I don’t think the mother is any of those.. they have a lot more just can’t remember

When he was younger I suspected part speckled Sussex but he grew out of that.

Dunno what mix breed he is Never had a chook like that before on my farm in all the years of owning chickens His plumage is beautiful, though.
