What breed(s) of chickens do you want, but have a tough time finding?

Speckled Sussex, with good markings (not too much white, in particular) and good shape.
I haven't found any that look right.

Look on Craigslist. There's at least a couple people in our area (plus me) that breed BBS ameraucanas.

That's because I have yet to make it! Well there is something close Schijndelaar.

I wouldn't really call it close. It doesn't lay blue eggs (supposed to lay just green), doesn't have those colors, nor a beard or muffs

yes. those are one of my very favorite kinds of chicken. I would have bought some chicks, but mom hates them and won't allow me to get any

Your profile says Brightwood Oregon and I'm from Scott's Mills OR. I think we're about an hour apart. I've driven a lot further for hatching eggs that didn't even hatch haha

Hmmm something around here that is hard to find are bantam Brahmas that are good quality, and d’Anvers that are high quality. According to one of the best breeders of d’Anver and d’Uccle breeds here in CA there are 3 breeders in the whole state they are aware of that have high quality birds! Also bantam Ameraucanas of any color besides wheaten/blue wheaten. All the breeds I want seem to live in the South mainly
