Ok, well, I must admit for me there are two more categories I consider when picking: 1) Do I like hanging out with them? I love to just sit near the chickens while the do chicken things. Many of you know what I am talking about 😁. Call it the CCPFF or the Crazy Chicken Person Friend Factor. 2) Are their eggs likely to be cool. I’ve said this before but eggs are like treasure to me. I love to pick up and look at them. The dark browns are cool but so are the pristine whites. And come on, the greens and blues! I challenge you to find me anything finer than a well speckled egg! We get white speckles, dark and light brown speckles, and even lavendar speckles. Treasure made daily. 😀. So, egg coolness is definitely a factor for me

Definitely me too!

One thing to consider is if you breed easter egger to Easter egger you run a higher chance of their offspring laying tan eggs. Breeding an Easter egger to a homozygous blue egg gene carrying chicken would result in all greens and blues.
