They layer the boxes with liners and hay and stuff so I wouldn’t be worried. It’s -2 in Minnesota so 40degrees sounds soo nice

Brrr! 40 is good. It's in the teens now, but even that's downright balmy compared to -2!!!
Don't be silly! - Duckies are resilient and rarely arrive dead or injured. And you're both in California, so the package should reach you the next day.
