What breed? Sussex X ???

The black one is not a Barred Rock. Barred Rocks have a spot of white/yellow on the top of the head. Males AND females have the spot.

The black one, I would assume, would probably be a Black Australorp and the Red one would be a production red (often sold as a RIR by hatcheries).

Your "sussex" doesn't look like a sussex. Possibly a Buff Orpington. What color are the legs?

I didn't post a picture of the Light Sussex at 4,5 weeks, because those I can spot among the others.
But here is a picture of one of the Light Sussex

If you look at my first picture, with all 3 color chickens. All the white one turned to be Light Sussex.
The reds, I have postet one of the most light red, and one of the most dark red.

And here is a picture of the legs of the Light Sussex and the red, to compare. It seems the red ones have a little more yellow leg.
Sorry it's a little blur, but the red one couldn't sit still.
