What breed will you definitely add to your flock?

I would love to add some white Chanteclers to our flock, however finding large fowl whites of quality here in the states is no small task. So for the time being I am more than happy to work with our Buff Chanteclers.

Silver Laced Wyandottes. My favorite hen was a SLW, only had one. SHe died this summer, she was a crank to begin with while establishing pecking order, calmed down, but, had her cranky moments with other hens. But, she was beautiful, inquisitive of me, laid me an egg basically every day. I would love to get some more. and maybe a splash BLRW.

I also like the standard cochin, or brahma. but, right now. I'm sticking to my EE's.

Spring 2011 goals...

Spangled Cornish Bantams (my White Laced Red girl is a sweetheart)
Splash Modern Game bantam roo (I have 2 pullets)
LF Blue & Splash Polish
Blue Mottled d'Uccles
Lavender Silkies
Silky Seramas

If I had another coop I would love a trio or quad of Blue & Splash Sumatras, not building anything more, so they will have to wait til I decide to change breeds or sell off a bunch.

I will be hatching Olive Eggers (Marans/Ameraucana mixes), hopefully some Splash JGs, Splash Rosecombs, Splash & Blue Marans and Silky Cochins from my own chickens eggs to add to my flocks.

I want silkies really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, REALLY, REALLY bad.

But the local co-ops never have them. And banties of any type are "straight run" (or mostly roo's).

Hopefully I can find someone in my area who will give me some eggs to put under one of my orpington girls.

Well, I have yet to start my flock but when I do I will most deffinatley be going for some Buff Bhrama Bantams and various clean legged Bantam breeds.

Dan.

ll, I've already got most the breed I want, 21 colors of d'anver, 3 colors of silkie, bantam houdans in white and mottled, black crested white bantam polish, bantam crevecouers, seramas, black blue ans splash bantam sumatras, and several colors of bantam phoenix.

Really wanting to work on getting some ohiki and more phoenix colors. Also plan to continue work on all the d'anver colors, I really love them and the phoenix!

Probabably just hatch some more of my own Blue/Black Sumatras. I FINALLY got a spectacular Black hen and am excited to see what kind of chicks I get from her!
