It looks a little like a partridge rock. They are good chickens....

Ok, I did received two little gray chicks. The White Giants? They were extremely weak and died the same day I got them. That was my first call to Murray. Two days later for no apparent reason I had two Speckled Sussex die, I have one of them left. But I see no other chick getting white feathers. I do apologize for my ignorance of breeds, especially little chicks. I can tell the black giants, the barred rocks, the silver laced wyandottes and the red stars and buff orpingtons. I've never seen Ameraucana chicks before. Thanks for all your help, everyone. I'll get better with time and experience.white giants are gray to almost black as chicks and turn white. Have you compared chicks to pics on their web site
I'm really glad you got what your ordered. This is the second year they made mistakes on mine! It's ok, I'll love the chickens I got from them!I have bought from Murray McMurray Hatchery before. they sent me exactly what I wanted. I think they just made a one-time mistake.
X2EE.
Yes, I would definitely call about it. It could very well be a substitution. I have ordered from that hatchery several times, and it is on the top of my list. Never had problems.
Does this photo help? Thanks.View attachment 1272672
I've never seen or had Ameraucana's before, so I had no idea. I am figuring out that they sent me only two white giants (that died) and then gave me an extra buff orpington! I wanted mostly egg producers with a few "pretty" chickens as well. I think it will work out fine. Thanks for your comments!I am not real good with telling breeds of little chicks either. Some are easy and some just look nothing like they will as adults! LOL. I can always tell the baby Amercauna/EE's tho, because they look like little chipmunks with greenish legs. Those little grey babies were most likely your white giants, sorry!
