What Breed?

Looks like an EE or an ameraucana to me, but I'm not sure. I've also had a mix up from Murray McMurray, I ordered a variety of breeds, including five black star pullets, and instead I got 4 black star pullets and a barred rock rooster.

Some hatcheries have substitution policies that you have to opt in or out of (varies by hatchery which way it works) where unless you opt in or out they "may substitute other breeds if hatch day does not yield enough of selected birds to fulfill your order"

Substitutions: Occasionally we will have breeds which did not hatch as well as expected. When this happens, we would like to substitute extra chicks of equal or greater value of breeds similar to what you had ordered. If you indicate no substitutions, we will either delay your order or ship it short those birds and refund you. We have discovered that our customers usually prefer to have the original total number of chicks they ordered rather than a refund. If you phone in your order we will ask you about substitutions. If you mail your order, please indicate your substitution preference on the order blank.

Yes, I would definitely call about it. It could very well be a substitution. I have ordered from that hatchery several times, and it is on the top of my list. Never had problems.

I would definitely give them a call. Perhaps they will give you a refund and know what kind of chicks that they sent you.

I've already called them twice. They don't seem to care. These chicks are alive so they won't refund me. They don't give money back anyway, they just give you a credit. I had trouble with receiving roosters, cross beaked chickens last year. They only credited me for the cross beaked chickens. I won't use them again if I need more chickens.

They have a list on the back of the top box that the chicks come in telling you what they sent. It says they sent the White Giants! There is no "line" indicating that they sent the Ameraucanas, but I did get 29 chicks. They didn't have the Black Stars so they sent me 7 Red Stars, even though it should have been six. They also gave me an extra Buff Orpington, why? They don't know. I'll let it go for now. I wanted brown egg layers for my egg business.

Yes, but that second "box" is not lined out in the fashion of the top boxes, only the first. I don't really know what that means. I was to get 3 Ameraucana and 3 White Giants. All I know is that I have NO white chickens at all, but I received the total expected!

white giants are gray to almost black as chicks and turn white. Have you compared chicks to pics on their web site

What FredsGobblers said. Maybe you are overlooking them as they would be dark on top and yellowish/gray on underside. ?
