Hi
I’m not sure what breed my ducklings are... I’ve just hatched 5

They don’t really look runner in the eyes to me. I’d guess a crossbreed of some sort. I couldn’t guess till they were older.

Hi
The guys that gave me the eggs said they could be either or a mixture of both.
They are so fast moving around they make the baby chicks look like they are moving in slow motion .

I’d guess mixture of both. They don’t look entirely runner, or entirely muscovy.

Hi,

I’m an experienced breeder in England. I know that in the US you have different genetic pools and variations, so I may think it’s one breed and you may not have it in your country, or you may call it something different (e.g. in the UK we call snowy call ducks Abacots.)

A couple of them look like fawn and white Indian runners to me, and a couple look like buff Orpington’s. They could be across between the two, they don’t look like pure breeds to me. I used to do both of those breeds, and, if you want to be producing good quality, pure-bred Exhibition stock the markings on the ducklings need to be more defined. I think the third one and first one could be crosses, but I’m pretty sure the one at the bottom is a runner.

Thanks
James
