What breed?

Hello!

I’d like to add a new breed to our home! But I’m not sure which to try.

Here’s what I’m looking for; standard or large sized, maybe more rare, and pretty looking!

I was considering maybe some Marans because I love those dark eggs or maybe some large fowl Cochins? I just don’t know!

I’d love any suggestions!

Many varieties of English Orpington have become popular. They aren't going to lay dark eggs, but they are certainly eye candy. This farm offers some varieties and have nice pictures for you to see them. I currently have Silver-laced and love them.

Marans are a good choice. If you want a big bird maybe a Jersey giant? I have a big fluffy girl who’s very pretty. I’m not very experienced with big birds mostly just good laying birds and some ornamental breeds like Polish, Silkes and naked necks lol.
