I am wondering which breed of duck is quiet and looks nice but will also be docile. How much space do they need and is the male or female louder
thanks

Muscovies are very quiet, but are now becoming illegal to have. I Like Cayugas . They are the most quiet duck there is (Besides Muscovies). They are black and their feathers shine green or sometimes even purple in the sun. They are very docile , quiet , Make Good Foragers, and are great Broody's and Mothers.

Hey, Barred-rocks-rocks, do Cayugas WHISTLE? Wait, they must, since one or another of my two ducklings make a distinct whistle, not loud peep, sound right after I leave the room and close the door. I don't know which one, or if both, do it. It has startled me 3 times, now. Of course, when I open the door and look back in, there's no way to tell who did what. But what's up with that? Do you know?

khaki-campbells, they are like a chicken, they're pretty quiet too! HAHAHAHAHA a duck...quiet???
