what breed????

    This is what i hatched (a light sussx chick) and this is the odd 1 out of the batch

    is this black 1 a x breed or a different breed can there be diferent colored light sussx

    The darker one doesn't look like a light sussex to me and that silkie is a roo.

    That's definitely a silkie roo and I think maybe the parent stock aren't purebred. Any idea what other chickens the supplier of the eggs kept? Were they allowed into contact with each other? [​IMG]

    Is those feathers growing in greenish colored on the 2nd chick?

    The first chick is defenitly a sussx, but as for the second one it may or may not be one, if not, I expect it to be a maran's or a clown chicken.

    The Silkie is undoubtedly a male.

    The first chick may be a Sussex, the second is not. But it isn't a Marans either.

    Agreed with everyone on the silkie

    The black chick could be any number of things, but I'm gonna go ahead and asume it's some sort of sussex mutt...
