Someone is selling these near me and I'm trying to decide. They are 4 months old. They don't know the breed except they are not cornish cross. They say they are large so I'm thinking NOT leghorns. Any ideas?
Pic isn't great.

Picture is ok but too tiny for my old eyes. Could you post it larger? There are lots of white chicken breeds meatier than a Leghorn. Any idea what type of comb they have and I think I am seeing yellow legs--is that correct?

I tried to resize it but I could only stretch it so it was VERY blurry. The legs are yellow. The combs I'm not sure about but look very small like pea combs. I have not seen the birds in person, I don't want to make the trip if they are something I would not consider.

All of the white breeds with featherless yellow legs I can think of: White Rock, Wyandotte, White Jersey Giant, Cornish, Chantecler, Leghorn.

thanks everyone. The person is going to send me a close up picture as soon as it stops pouring here. I just want to make sure it is something that will go broody. So, I'll see.

Predicting broodiness may be hard. Case in point: I have several different breeds. So far I have 2 that have gone broody, a Speckled Sussex (no surprise) and my 1 year old Welsummer (big surprise). Welsummers are not known for being good broodies and whats more they are also not supposed to be good mama hens. At 5 weeks after hatch she is still attentive to the clutch. Go figure.

broody breeds could include (if your willing to do bantams and keep them away from lf roosters) silkies and d'uccles

my guess would be white rocks
