What breed

I'm new to chickens just completing my coop. Going to get four chickens in the spring.I was thinking of two Columbian Wyandottes & two Rhoade Island Reds. Just for eggs & pets.Any input on these breeds would be greatly appreciated

I haven't heard of the Columbia Wyandottes, but I have BLR Wyandottes and a SL Wyandotte and I love them. Pretty to look at, my SL is my best layer, good tempered. I have not had any RIR, but I know a lot of people like them. Good luck, keep us posted!

We talk a lot about these 2 breeds. Veteran top breeders of thee breeds discussing them with the thread. Lots of good help available in a friendly atomsphere for which BYC is known .
