What breed?

Looks like my cuckoo marans at that age. What color are the legs? Pink/white or yellow?

I think the first one is a dark brahmas because it looks just like the one I have and because Cochins have more feathers on their legs and tend to be more fluffy and do the ones that u think are cuckoo marans have big beaks

I own cuckoo Marans the pattern is wrong s d they're bare legged unless they are production even then the color of the feet is off not marans

Sorry- not sure that picture was very informative! The legs are white/pink. Definitely not yellow. And they are clean, not feathered. The one feather belongs to another bird! And we're talking, specifically about bird #2 - the one I think is either a cuckoo maran or possibly barred rock.

#1 dark brahma, last one is a speckled Sussex. The others I'm not sure about maran or barred rock, I'm never good deciding which is which. I fairly sure the brownish red one is a partridge rock.

LeviS - you're the second person to say dark brahma. This is what the feather-footed lady looked like early on (scroll up for picture). Does this help differentiate between dark brahma and silver-penciled Cochin?

Definitely a dark brahma, mine looked just like that with her little brown stipes.

That's her at about 10-12 weeks. I don't think I have a picture of her as a chick though.

Does this "dark brahma" have pea or single comb? I've seen dark brahmas with both, so I'm a little hazy on what exactly dark brahmas combs are supposed to be. Pea comb or single?
