So I got these chicks from my teacher. They're maybe a week old? She bought them from tractor supply. They have feathered feet aswell.

I don't think their dark, I think their buff.

When the feathering for buff brahma chicks come out it is buff with black surrounding the feathers, they are not silver penciled as the dark brahma chicks in the picture.

And that is why I said think! Like other people on here I'm just trying to figure out breeds as I go. I wasn't trying to say you were wrong. I'm giving my opinion so I can have people like you explain why it's not what I say. Thanks for helping.
